EMERGENCIES
If you have a life-threatening situation call 911 or go directly to the nearest emergency room. In case of a medical emergency, there is a physician on call day and night. During normal business hours, please call your doctor’s office.

For after hour’s emergencies only, please call Munson Medical Center at 231-935-5000 and ask for our physician on call paged. All calls will be returned as soon as possible. Please let the staff member answering the phone, know if you feel your call is an emergency.

TELEPHONE CALLS EMERGENCIES
Routine medical questions will be handled by calling your physician's office or communicating through our patient portal, www.Health.eclinicalworks.com, during normal business hours. For your convenience, we have protocols to handle some problems over the phone. However, you may need to be seen in the office to properly diagnose and treat the problem. Questions and/or concerns that are directed to the physician will be sent to them via an electronic note, which will be answered, and our staff will return your call.

PRESCRIPTIONS
You may telephone your prescription requests in to our office or request a refill request through our patient portal, www.Health.eclinicalworks.com. All requests must be approved by the physician. Please note that many times your physician will request a checkup to evaluate your progress prior to filling the prescription. Please contact us in advance so that your refill can be processed in time, please allow 24-48 hours for a prescription refill. It is the responsibility of the patient to contact us for refills, as opposed to the pharmacy.

We take great pride in our professional staff. Our clinical and administrative staff is eager to assist you and answer any questions you may have.

PATIENT APPOINTMENTS
It is important to keep your medical records up to date. It is your responsibility to notify both your doctor's office and your insurance company of any changes or corrections of pertinent information that needs to be made to your records. Please be prepared to review that information and verify your Insurance at every visit, so we can bill your Insurance appropriately. Having your current information on file will enable us to serve you better. We thank you for your cooperation with this important matter.

We would like for you to bring your medications that you are currently taking to your appointment. Please bring the original containers so that we may verify each medication's name, dosage, etc. This information will allow your physician to better care for you.

Appointments can be made with our physicians by calling the office or communicating through the patient portal, www.Health.eclinicalworks.com, during normal business hours. Please call the office for a same day or next day visit. Due to the nature of our business, there are times that we will need to contact the physician for availability, and return your call.

A courtesy reminder call is placed by our office two business days prior to your appointment.

Appointments for routine care are best arranged well in advance, preferably at the end of the previous appointment. We encourage the scheduling of routine physicals for school, sports, etc. several months In advance, especially during the summer when there is a greater demand for school and camp physicals. Adults may schedule routine physical exams throughout the year. Calls for sick patient appointments should be made early in the day, so that arrangements can be made for you to be examined. Our goal is to meet your family's needs in a caring and efficient manner. We value your time and will make every effort to accommodate you as soon as possible.

After hours appointments (after 5pm) that are scheduled may be an additional $25.00. We will submit this charge to your insurance, however if it is not a covered service, the charge is the responsibility of the patient.

CANCELLATIONS
In an effort to reduce no show appointments, we ask that you please phone the office at least 24 hours in advance if you will not be able to keep your appointment. We will do our best to coordinate another appointment for you, if necessary.

CO-PAYMENTS
Co-payments are to be collected on the day of service. If you are unsure of the amount of your co-pay, we will collect $20.00. Once the claim is paid by your insurance and the co- pay amount is known, we will collect that amount at future visits.

RETURNED CHECK POLICY
There is a $25.00 charge for all checks returned to us for non-sufficient funds. You will be billed for the check amount, plus the charge amount.
